Profound Arctic journeys, meticulously crafted

Drawing on extensive experience managing travel itineraries for ultra-high-net-worth clients, our upcoming expeditions promise authentic adventures, inviting travelers to perceive each destination through their senses – sight, sound, aroma, taste, and touch.

The North stands as the next great frontier in luxury travel, born from the passion and expertise of Icelandic hospitality veterans from HL Adventure. Much like any other grand endeavor, our journey began with an idea that evolved into a project, and ultimately blossomed into its own entity – The North.

Our vision transcends the boundaries of conventional luxury travel, guiding us into a new era of once-in-a-lifetime adventure journeys to discover the Arctic and beyond. We aim to make the last frontier accessible to a select few who share our passion and respect for these rarely experienced, untouched regions.

We extend a warm welcome to those seeking a transformative travel experience as we unveil the secrets of the Arctic’s pristine landscapes, where every moment is a story waiting to be told.

Wonders of the Canadian Arctic

Join us to witness the wonders of the Arctic that few have ever experienced on our spectacular 10-day holiday expedition. Based at our remote camp with ultimate comfort, a small group of only 12 people will venture to the ice floe edge of Lancaster Sound in the Canadian High Arctic—a world-renowned location for wildlife filmmakers and one of the most prolific areas of animal life in the Arctic. This makes for a very exclusive and special experience.

Guided by indigenous Inuit hunters whose ancestors had lived here for thousands of years, along with our specialist Arctic facilitators, naturalists, and gourmet chefs, we are proud to offer privileged access to this pristine Arctic jewel.

Untamed nature of Iceland

Prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime with a 10-day journey to Iceland, a mythical land between worlds. In Iceland, ancient Viking history and traditional ways of life intertwine with a contemporary lifestyle deeply connected to nature and well-being. This connection is most evident in Reykjavik, the world’s northernmost capital, which serves as the cosmopolitan cultural heart of Iceland. As the gateway to the Arctic, Iceland’s otherworldly volcanic landscapes, awe-inspiring glaciers, and wonderland of lakes, waterfalls, and geysers create the perfect beginning for our truly stellar journey northward.

Our adventure includes an exhilarating heliskiing experience beneath the Arctic Circle. We’ll take you to Northern Iceland, where remote, snow-covered fjords and dramatic volcanic terrain await. Here, our expert guides will lead you to some of the world’s most remote and thrilling ski runs. Iceland, unlike anywhere else on Earth, is a land of extreme contrasts. This journey offers a unique opportunity to connect with the raw power and natural beauty of the polar regions.

Norway's Arctic Splendors

Norway, a captivating Scandinavian nation in the northern reaches of Europe, boasts a distinctive geographical feature: approximately one-third of its expanse resides within the Arctic Circle. With awe-inspiring landscapes, rich culture, and vibrant cities, Norway offers something for every traveler.

While Norway is home to many wonderful cities, its heart and soul lie in its spectacular natural beauty. The landscape is filled with rugged mountains, fertile valleys, sprawling green forests, vast glaciers, and hauntingly majestic fjords. It’s no surprise that Norway is considered home to one of the last great wildernesses of Europe, stretching from the remote corners of frozen Svalbard in the North Atlantic to the tranquil woodlands in the balmy south.

Land of the midnight sun

The Svalbard archipelago lies nine hundred kilometers north of mainland Norway and 1,100 kilometers from the North Pole. This astonishingly beautiful archipelago is the world’s most readily accessible part of the polar north and one of the most spectacular places imaginable. The landscape appears as if at the end of the ice age, with 60% of the land area covered with ice. The realm of the polar bear, unique wildlife, wild nature, and old mining towns have long fascinated visitors. Beyond every horizon, Svalbard reveals its Arctic secrets during summer.

The Arctic Explorers Club is an exclusive, members only group of explorers, travellers, friends and guests who have a lifelong interest in the Arctic.

Our aim for the Club is to continue our journey together and create opportunities each year to further develop our knowledge and understanding and to continue exploring this world beyond the horizon.

Foundation

Our not-for-profit foundation aims to share first hand knowledge of the critical role of the polar ice mass, its continental lands, its islands and living organisms. The preservation of Arctic ice is critical in its relation with the world’s climate, its ocean currents and for the survival of its indigenous peoples.

Together we will share our understanding far afield reaching out to sister organizations, to governments, to media and to schools by creating a unique educational resource and opportunities for young people themselves to travel into Arctic lands.

Responsible Journeys

Responsible tourism can significantly benefit local communities by providing income, encouraging positive cultural exchanges, and creating a financial incentive to protect their natural environment. Our approach to responsible tourism is comprehensive. Every aspect of how we plan and operate our trips and the practices of The North as a company is aimed at making a positive impact on the regions we visit.

The North expeditions are crafted to maximize economic benefits for local communities. We hire local guides and drivers, purchase local produce, enjoy local cuisine, and utilize local services, ensuring that as much money as possible is retained within the local economy and host communities.

We continually reassess our trips to ensure they remain socially, economically, and environmentally sound.
